THE HEART OF MY CRAFT
After more than twenty years in the hair industry (and fifteen of those spent creating hair for weddings) I still genuinely love what I do.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of styling more weddings than I could possibly count, working on incredible events and shoots, travelling to beautiful destinations, sharing my craft through private education and meeting some pretty amazing people along the way.
But for me, it’s never just been about the hair. It’s the people, the laughs, the conversations and that moment when someone looks in the mirror and absolutely loves what they see.
Now, working exclusively under my own brand, Ben O’Brien Hairstylist, I’ve found a whole new spark for creating beautiful hair and doing what I love most. I’m still pushing myself, staying inspired and evolving with the industry… just with an even bigger obsession for great hair, good people and making every client’s experience one they’ll remember xx

One of the best parts of my job is the amazing people I get to meet and work with. From brides and bridal parties to talented vendors and fellow stylists, the connections I make are truly special. Every interaction is a chance to learn, grow and create unforgettable memories.

After years of dreaming about having more freedom to travel, create and take my styling career wherever it leads me, I’m finally doing exactly that.
You’ll still find me in the salon a couple of days a week at CAJ Hair and Beauty Studio, looking after my beautiful clients (because I could never give that up!), but these days I have more freedom to pack my kit and head wherever the hair takes me.
Tasmania, interstate, destination weddings, incredible events, and apparently internationally now too 🇮🇹 🥰
It means I get to spend more time doing the part of this career I’ve always loved most: creating beautiful hair for beautiful moments, in some pretty spectacular places, with wonderful people.
